Dental implant treatment

Implants are screws made of titanium that are used in the treatment of missing teeth and are placed inside the jawbone. A dental prosthesis is placed on these screws. The advantage of implant treatment over other treatments is that neighboring teeth are not damaged. This means that neighboring teeth do not need to be cut. The implant tooth acts as a root and you can eat, talk and laugh just like a natural tooth. Dental implant surgery also involves a surgical process that replaces tooth roots with metal, screw-like posts and replaces damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that closely resemble and function like real teeth. A dental implant can offer a welcome alternative to ill-fitting dentures or bridges and is therefore preferred over methods such as traditional bridges.

Dental veneer treatment

Thin, tooth-colored coatings that are placed on the teeth to cover the front of the teeth are called dental crowns. Dental crowns are usually produced with porcelain or composite materials; It is permanent after application. Dental veneer process; It is applied to discolored, damaged or abnormally sized teeth. These coatings can be applied to just one tooth or multiple teeth, depending on preference.

Porcelain veneers stand out with their ability to be more resistant to stains than composite veneers. One of the reasons why porcelain dental veneers are preferred is that they can successfully imitate the light reflecting feature of natural teeth. However, the most suitable veneer material for the person is determined by the dentist.

Dental root canal treatment

Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, refers to removing the damaged or infected pulp (pulp) of a tooth, disinfecting the tooth, and then resealing it with a filling. The pulp, located in the innermost part of the tooth, can be thought of as a soft core. In the pulp extending to the root tip of the teeth; contains nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue. In cases where the tooth cracks as a result of an impact or a deep decay occurs, bacteria enter the pulp and begin to multiply there. If this condition is left untreated, the bacteria can cause a serious infection or dental abscess, leading to bone or tooth loss along with pulp death. In such a case, root canal treatment is applied to the cracked or decayed tooth to save the tooth.

Dental filling treatment

Filling treatment is the process of cleaning decayed teeth and filling them with special filling material. Bacteria formed as a result of not brushing the teeth regularly and accumulated food residues accumulate on the tooth surface and cause cavities. Teeth that are decaying and whose structure is damaged as a result of inadequate oral care and cleaning become unable to fulfill their functions if not treated early.

Dental prosthesis treatment

1. Total Prostheses: In cases where there are no natural teeth left in your mouth, these are prostheses made of acrylic, popularly called 'dentures', that are supported by the bone tissue remaining in the lower and upper jaw. It finds application in special cases where implants cannot be made. Using porcelain teeth in total dentures is generally not a healthy approach. For this reason, plastic teeth are used in these prostheses; However, discoloration may occur in these teeth over time.

2. Partial Dentures: You have some of your natural teeth; Removable dentures made in cases where some of them have been removed are called 'partial dentures'. Partial dentures are made either from acrylic or from a single piece of casting. This type of prostheses provide retention with clasp wires attached to the main teeth. Aesthetic prostheses with precision attachments can also be made for patients who think that the appearance of this wire is not aesthetic.

3. Immediate Prostheses: In cases where all main teeth need to be extracted, if the patient does not want to be toothless, dentures called 'immediate dentures' can be made that can be attached immediately as soon as the natural teeth are removed. When the healing is completed and the tissues become incompatible with these prostheses, the patient's permanent prostheses begin to be made.

4. Overdenture Prostheses: Prosthetics that the dentist will make on several existing natural teeth or roots in the mouth, following some special preparations, are called 'overdenture prostheses'. The natural teeth or roots on which the prosthesis sits provide retention and stability to the prosthesis.

Teeth cleaning

Tooth stone cleaning; It is the removal of the layers formed at the junction of the teeth and gums and on the surface of the teeth, also known as tartar, by the dentist with special tools. Structures formed above the gum line can cause inflammation in the gums, causing sensitivity and damaging the gums. This can lead to gum disease over time. The mildest of these is gingivitis. Since the application method, effectiveness and effects of each method on dental health are different, the recommended method for each patient may differ.
